Can be played with Xbox/PS/Nintendo controllers. D-pad (directional) controls are the same throughout all types, but some button inputs translate as follows:
Jump Button: (Keyboard) Space/ (Xbox) A Button/ (PS) Cross Button/ (Nintendo) B Button
Start/Pause Button: (Keyboard) Esc/ (Xbox) Menu Button/ (PS) Options Button/ (Nintendo) + Button
The game window expands full-screen. To exit the game and close the window, press the Quit Button: (Keyboard) End Button/ (Xbox) Back Button/ (PS) Select Button/ (Nintendo) - Button

I wonder if there will be mud as a hazard in the full game by the way...
I should mention there won't be. What you've seen is basically what you can expect.
I played until I lost at level 7, can't get the timing down...
It does take practice
